Mrs. Dorothy Marie Fox, 94 of Ball Ground, GA went to be with her Lord and Savior and her husband of 51 years, James Fox on December 31, 2023. Dorothy was born in Ellijay, GA on August 20, 1929 to the late Mr. Henry and Vester Crooke.

Dorothy was a devout Christian who loved her family. She loved bird watching, word searches, and cooking. Most of all, Dorothy loved and spoiled her granddaughter, Emma. When Dorothy wasn't busy doting on Emma, she could be found on her front porch, or watching westerns like Gunsmoke. Her giving heart and smiling face will surely be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, James, three sisters, two brothers and a host of friends.

She is survived by her two sons, Dennis Fox and Brian (Janice) Fox and granddaughter, Emma (Mason Mullins), and brother, Grady Crooke. Judy Carlan, caregiver and friend also survives to cherish Dorothy's memory.

A funeral service for Dorothy will be conducted in the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at eleven o'clock in the morning, with Rev. Dudley Edwards officiating. Interment will follow the service at Lake Forest Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be: Emma Fox, Mason Mullins, Tony Wilkie, and Max West.

The family will receive friends at Cagle Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, from 12 o'clock in the afternoon until nine.
