Doris Clark, 87, of the Ludville Community, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 4, 2024. Doris was born in Gordon County, GA on December 26, 1936 to the late Mr. Clyde Terrell Long and Mrs. Charlcey McDaniel Long.
Doris was a devout Christian who could always be found reading and studying her bible. She will be remembered as a loving wife to her husband, Booker (Dub) William Clark of 64 years, and a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. Doris was an expert in the kitchen, serving up her famous chicken and dumplin's to family and friends alike. She enjoyed her garden, canning vegetables, and sewing. But, most of all, Doris loved her three boys. Doris will surely be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Booker (Dub) William Clark and her parents.
She is survived by her three sons; Danny (Pam) Clark, Doug (Christi) Clark and David Clark, grandchildren; Jon (Cherie) Clark, Tonya (Tony) Turner, Jodi (Justin) Childers, Dustin Clark and Whitney Clark, great grandchildren; Payton Clark, Nathan Turner, Elijah Turner, Collyns Childers, Shepard Childers, Austin Childers, Dalton (Lindsey) Holt , Gracie and Eddie Monhollen, and great-great grandchild, Jayden Holt ,sister, Glyndon Robinson and half brother, Ricky Long.
A celebration of Doris' life will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at two o'clock in the afternoon at Friendship Baptist Church with the Rev. Jason Hancock officiating. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery, serving as pallbearers will be: Danny Clark, Doug Clark, David Clark, Tony Turner, Jon Clark, Justin Childers, and Dustin Clark. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Nathan Turner, Elijah Turner, Austin Childers, and Dalton Holt.
The family will receive friends at Cagle Funeral Home on Saturday, July 6, 2024 from 11 o'clock in the morning until eight, and again on Sunday, July 7, 2024 from nine o'clock in the morning until 1:30 pm.
Cagle Funeral Home is honored to serve the Clark family in this most difficult of times.
