Donna Green, 68, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away on May 16, 2024 at Northside Hospital Cherokee, after a 16-year battle with colon cancer.

She is survived by sons, Jason Green of Jasper; Brandon Green (Jamie) of Lincolnton, North Carolina; Mark Green of Marietta, Georgia;
daughter, Tamara Green of Cleveland, Tennessee; granddaughter, Jaiden Green of Lincolnton; sister, Linda Gibson (Andy), of Cartersville, Georgia; nephews, Kevin Gibson and Trenton McDaniel of Cartersville; and niece, Andrea McDaniel (Lee) of Cartersville. She is preceded in
death by her husband, Ernie Green; parents, Bob and Dimple McGuffin; and brother, Robert
McGuffin, all of Jasper.

From childhood, Donna loved to cook. Sharing food with family, friends, her church, or even strangers was her greatest joy. She didn't mind the labor or the mess if it meant that she could make someone else's day better. She also managed to create meals for her children when it
seemed that there was nothing left in the house to eat, often sacrificing so that they wouldn't go hungry. She made sure that the tables were full at every holiday, funeral, wedding, catastrophe, and celebration. She knew that cornbread dressing and banana pudding couldn't fix everything,
but they were a good place to start. Donna also loved animals, and throughout her life she cared for them like family, from dogs and cats, to rabbits, birds, pigs, goats, and even a wild rooster. In her last months, Donna and Mark rescued a cat (Buddy), who brought her a lot of extra smiles during her fight with cancer. Visitation will be held at Cagle Funeral Home in Jasper from 10:00 AM to the funeral hour at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 20, 2024. Graveside service will be performed in the funeral home chapel. She will be interred at Little Prospect Memorial Grounds in Dalton, Georgia. Reverend
Johnny Hollingshed officiating. Food is welcomed. Casual attire preferred.
