Mr. D.H. "Ham" Childers, age 96 of Jasper, passed away Sunday April 23, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Childers is survived by his wife: Linda Childers of Jasper; daughters and son-in-law: Connie & Craig Reichert of Nelson and Tammie Chastain of Hinton Community; brothers: William Childers of Jasper and J.W. Childers of Jasper; 4 grandchildren: Chad & Stephanie Morris, Darrin & Stephanie Morris, Brian & Erika Chastain, and Jacob Chastain; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday April 25, 2017 from 10:00am until 9:00pm and on Wednesday from 10:00am until prior to the funeral service. The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday from the chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with Rev. Buck Parker and Johnny Barnes officiating. Interment at Hinton Community Cemetery. Local Chapter 47 DAV in charge of military rites.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to Hinton Community Cemetery.
