Jun 18, 1952 — Nov 11, 2024
Talking Rock
Mrs. Debra Parker, age 72, of Talking Rock, passed away on November 11, 2024. Born on June 18, 1952, in Olean, New York, to the late Mr. Clifton Rose and Mrs. Mildred Williams Rose, Debbie lived a life filled with love, faith, and dedication.
Debbie was a cherished nurse at Cherokee Pediatrics for many years, where she found great joy in working with children. Her love for kids extended beyond her professional life, as she also taught children's church on Sundays and was a devoted churchgoer. Her faith in the Lord was unwavering, and she lived her life with a strong sense of spiritual purpose. Known for being a kid at heart, Debbie's love for family was a constant throughout her life. Growing up, family was the most important thing to her, and as an adult, that never changed. She was blessed with two children and two bonus children, whom she adored. Debbie had a passion for all things Disney—the movies, the music, and the magic they brought into her life. She was also incredibly crafty, enjoying hobbies such as reading, knitting, cross-stitching, and crocheting. Her creativity and love for crafting brought her joy. Her kind heart and willingness to help others were evident in everything she did. Debbie's beloved cat, Kitten Boy, was a cherished companion who brought her much happiness. Debbie's legacy is one of love, kindness, and faith. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, Doug Chapman.
She is survived by her husband, Noel Parker, son, David (Kelly) Goodnoe, daughter, Melissa (Joe) Young, bonus son, Wesley Parker, bonus daughter, Christie Parker, brothers, John (Cindy) Rose, Brian (Patty) Rose, sister, Kathy (Ray) Batt, grandchildren, Jacob Young, Samantha Young, Morgan Goodnoe, Lacey Goodnoe, Natalie Parker, Grayson Parker, brothers-in-law, Mickey (Betty) Parker, Perry Parker, sisters-in-law, Daranda Heath, Debbie (Stanley) Brown, Mary (Dennis) Hall and Clara (Greg) Alford. Several nieces and nephews also survive to cherish Debbie's memory.
The family will receive friends at Cagle Funeral Home on Thursday November 14, 2024, from six in the evening until eight at night and Friday November 15, 2024, from nine in the morning until the service hour.
