David Eugene McPherson, born June 13, 1957 in Tate, Georgia to Sue Parker Parris and Gene Tunney McPherson, passed away on October 5, 2025.

David was known for his warm spirit—he never met a stranger. His great sense of humor and love for classic rock music brought joy to those around him. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Tommy McPherson, and his sisters Melinda Mewborn, and Audrea Fountain

He is survived by his brothers, Johnny Stephens and John McPherson, sisters, Norma Jean McPherson, Debbie Byess, Shirley Tetherow and Wanda Lomax, and special friends Laura Hollingshed, Michael Tucker, and Estelle Jones. Many other relatives and friends also remain to cherish his memory.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at 6:00 PM in the Robert A. Cagle Memorial Chapel at Cagle Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 8 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM and again on Thursday, October 9, 2025 from 10 AM until the service hour at Cagle Funeral Home.

David's laughter and kindness will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
