Obituary

David Cleveland, age 55, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away suddenly on Sunday,
February 22, 2026, at his home. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, David lived a life defined by
passion, kindness, and dedication to both his family and his craft.
David was the owner and operator of Sharp Top Catering and Corfu Café, businesses
he proudly ran alongside his wife, Michelle Toney, whom he was married to for three
years. The two met ten years ago while working at 61 Main Restaurant, beginning a
partnership rooted in love, friendship, and a shared passion for food and hospitality.
A gifted and accomplished chef, David was known not only for his culinary talent but
also for his generous spirit. He was devoted, a gentle and kind soul, and
Michelle's best friend. His warmth, creativity, and quiet strength left a lasting impression
on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
David is survived by his wife, Michelle Toney; Michelle's Children, Dakota and Abbi Foster,
and Nolyn Foster; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Kevin and Kelley Cleveland, and Galin
and Patty Chandler; and his sister, Jennie Clayton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Ann and Al Clayton, and his half-sister,
Hope Clayton.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
