Mr. David Alanson Cagle, age 54 of Jasper, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 28, 2022, at his residence. He was born to the late Mr. Robert A. Cagle and Mrs. Helen Long Cagle on September 18, 1968.

David was the heart and soul of Cagle Funeral Home, along with his parents, Bob and Helen. He dedicated his life to the family business. His commitment to the funeral home was only surpassed by his love for his family.

David leaves behind two daughters and four grandsons who were his whole world. His passions were many, riding his motorcycle, Harley Davidson, watching NASCAR, attending concerts, spending time with his grandsons and listening to and singing timeless sounds of country legends like, George Jones, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, David Allan Coe, Conway Twitty, Hank Williams Jr. and so many more. David was a free spirit who loved making memories with the people he loved and just simply living life to the fullest. His kind heart was often misunderstood, but those who knew him cherished his contagious laughter and smile, unforgettable stories, and the love he had for his family. He was a devoted son, daddy, and Pop. David was a true friend, always ready, quite literally, to give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. David loved to make people laugh and was known for and will always be remembered for his humor and kindness. He was stubborn as a mule, hard-headed, but his heart was pure gold, always full of love for those around him, especially his girls and grandboys.

He was reunited with his parents and Terri Voyles in Heaven.

He will be greatly missed and remembered by his daughters, Kaylea and Zack Petty, Cheyenne Harrington, grandsons, Bryer, Ezra and Easton Petty and Brooks Harrington, sisters, Cathy and Johnny Clark, Becky and William Mullins and brother, Kenny Lowe.
