David Benefield

David Benefield of Jasper, GA passed away on August 9, 2026, at age 67. David was born in Huntsville, AL and moved to Georgia with his family at age 10.

David loved sports and was an avid Alabama fan. He attended Jacksonville State University where he studied Horticulture and later enjoyed a career in landscaping and project management. David was raised in a Christian household by his now deceased parents, Charles and Eugenia Benefield.

He is Survived by his Wife- Barbara Benefield, Step-Children -Jeremy Bryant (Kristina) Jennifer Bryant, Sister - Diane Brittan I niece -April Atkins  nephews - Jason Brittan, Jerel Brittan, Tobin Harvell , Grandchild - Madisen Holbert, Great Grandchild- Warren Howe,  Great Nephews- Gideon Harvell, Hunter Atkins, and Malachi Harvell, and great nieces, Alexis Atkins and Caitlin Atkins.

The family will receive friends at Cagle Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 1:00pm-9:00pm, and again on Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 10 in the morning until the service hour.

David’s funeral service will be held in the Robert A. Cagle Memorial Chapel on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 2:00pm. Interment will follow the service at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
