Christina Mae
Lovings
Jul 30, 1942 — Jan 12, 2026
Ms. Christina Mae Lovings, age 83, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026. She was born on July 30, 1942, in Churubusco, New York, to the late Veris Sellers and Gladys Mae Garsow.
Christina lived a life rooted in faith, love, and quiet strength. She was proud to have graduated from Christian Liberal Arts University for Ministry, an accomplishment that reflected her deep devotion to her Catholic faith. She carried that faith with her every day. She enjoyed the simple things in life—her warm cups of hot tea, the color purple that she loved so much she painted her home in it, and the comfort of a peaceful day. Christina was independent and strong, yet always outgoing and kind. She cared for others before herself and truly wanted to do good by everyone she met.
Her greatest joy was her family. She loved all her grandchildren dearly and had a special bond with her two grandsons, Brandon and Christopher, whom she lovingly raised as her own. They were her heart and her pride.
Christina is preceded in death by her sons, Carlton Dale Rogers and Milford Christopher Rogers; her parents; and her brothers, Gilbert Sellers and Joseph Sellers.
She leaves behind her son, Graham (Marjorie) Rogers; her daughter, Germanda Sue (James) Rogers; 13 grandchildren; and 22 great‑grandchildren, all of whom will carry her memory forward with love.
A graveside service will be held at Sunrise Memorial Gardens on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at 3:00p.m., with a testimony of love shared by her grandson David.
In this time of remembrance, the Lovings family is supported with care by Cagle Funeral Home and Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
