Charles M. Landrum, Jr., age 76, went to be with the Lord on 5/25/25. Born in Atlanta to Marvin and Frances Landrum, Charles grew up in Mountain Park with his four siblings (Peggy, Wayne, Wanda, and Wendell).

He graduated from Roswell High School, where he ran track and played basketball and football. After graduating from Southern Tech, Charles served in the U.S. Navy aboard the guided-missile cruiser USS Albany. In 1972, Charles married Linda at First Baptist Church of Roswell. Charles and Linda raised three children in Athens and later in Roswell, before becoming grandparents to eight. Charles is survived by his wife Linda, siblings Peggy, Wanda, and Wendell, his children and their spouses (Stephanie & Rusty, Charles III & Charmaine, and David & Kristin), and his eight grandchildren (Caleb, Hailey, Charles Simeon, Kyle, Timothy, Madeleine, Harlow, and Daniel).

Charles is best remembered for his love for his Lord, his devotion to his family, and his mercy that he showed to others. Always willing to help those in need, Charles carried a tract in his pocket, ready to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with those who crossed his path. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charles's honor to Samaritan's Purse and First Baptist Church Atlanta.

Charles' memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at First Baptist Church Atlanta at 3 o'clock in the afternoon.
