Mr. Charles Ray Hancock, lovingly known to many as "Bird," passed away on January 30, 2026, at the age of 60. Born on September 4, 1965, he was the son of the late James Hancock and Betty Lou Evans Hancock.

Charles was truly his own person—unapologetically unique and content to live life on his own terms. He danced to the beat of his own drum, finding joy in the quiet moments and the simple pleasures that brought him peace. Whether he was at home reading, spending time outdoors with a fishing pole in hand, or enjoying a good western, Charles embraced a life that was steady, uncomplicated, and genuine.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Jerry Hancock and Harold Hancock; his sister, Kathy Easley.

He is survived by his sister, Nancy (Perry) Richardson; his brothers, Robert (Tina) Hancock, Richie (Paula) Hancock, Joey Hancock and his brother‑in‑law, Terry Easley. Charles' absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him.
