Cecil "C.J."
Ensley
Nov 16, 1989 — Aug 17, 2024
Jasper
Cecil "C.J." Ensley, a cherished son, brother, grandson, and friend, passed away on August 17, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, curiosity, and compassion that will be remembered by all who knew him. Born in Jasper, Georgia, on November 16, 1989, to Mr. Cecil Ensley and Rebecca Cantrell, C.J. grew up with a heart full of love and a mind eager to explore.
From a young age, C.J. found joy in tinkering with small motors. Whether it was a lawnmower, a scooter, or anything mechanical, he had a gift for bringing things to life. His hands were always busy, and his spirit was always generous. But more than his mechanical talents, C.J. was known for his love of people. He had a way of making others feel welcome, understood, and appreciated—his smile and kindness were constants in a world that often felt uncertain.
C.J. is survived by his loving mother, Rebecca Cantrell, and his father, Cecil Ensley. He leaves behind his beloved Memaw, Barbara Cantrell, whose love and wisdom shaped much of who he was. He will be deeply missed by his brothers, Eric Davis and Anthony Vaughn, and his sister, Kerri Albarran, each of whom shared in his laughter, adventures, and unconditional love.
A visitation to honor C.J.'s life will be held at Cagle Funeral Home on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by C.J. are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate the beautiful soul we were privileged to know.
Though his time with us was far too short, C.J.'s spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. His laughter, his kindness, and his passion for life will never be forgotten.
Rest easy, C.J. You were truly one of a kind.
Cagle Funeral Home is honored to serve the family in this difficult time.
