Brenda Padgett Evans

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Brenda Christine Padgett Evans, who peacefully entered the presence of the Lord on July 2, 2026 at the age of 41. Brenda was born on 11/20/1984 in Canton, Georgia, to James and Ann Padgett.

She was known for her kindness, strength, and the genuine warmth she extended to everyone she met. With a welcoming smile and gentle spirit, Brenda had a special way of making others feel at home.

Family was at the center of Brenda's life. Whether gathered for holidays, sharing meals, or enjoying quiet moments together, she deeply cherished the time spent with those she loved. Her greatest joy came from caring for her children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and her dear friends. The memories she created will be treasured always. Her faith was a steady source of comfort and strength throughout her life. While we grieve her passing, we find peace in knowing she is now at rest and reunited with loved ones who went before her.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Gene and Jean Yother, Lora Jenkins, Betty and Elbert Crowe, and Charlie Padgett; her brother James Padgett Jr.; her niece Bethanie Padgett; and her grandson Briar Parsley Jr.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Richard Evans; her parents, James and Ann Padgett; and her mother-in-law, Aretta Marcum. She is also survived by her children, Jeffrey Evans, Nathan Evans, Emily Evans, Richard and Haley Evans, Sarah Evans, and Hunter Evans. Her bonus children include Maddy Swanson and Maddie Hatfield. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Liam, Lucas, Keenan, Emoree, Noah, Remington, Ivory, Hazellee, Wrenlee, Bailey, Layla, Tatum, and baby Evans, as well as her bonus grandchildren, Paisley and Keegan. Brenda is also survived by her daughters-in-law, Samantha Evans and Faith, and her son-in-law, Cameron Fields. She leaves behind her sister, Becky Little and her husband Jason, along with her brothers and sisters-in-law, Nick, Doug and Julie Marcum, Mel, Mandy, Nichole, and Elizabeth. She is also survived by 18 nieces and nephews, 22 great-nieces and nephews, and many extended family members and friends whose lives she touched.

Though our hearts ache, we celebrate a life filled with love, compassion, faith, and devotion. Brenda's legacy lives on in the lessons she taught, the laughter she shared, and the love she gave so freely.

Though we will miss Brenda deeply, we find comfort in knowing this is not a final farewell, but a parting until we meet again.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 14, 2026 from 5 to 8pm and Wednesday from 11:00am til the 2pm funeral service in the Robert A. Cagle Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at a later date in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
