Ms. Bobbie Hawkins, age 90, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on December 18, 2024. Born on December 20, 1933, to the late J.Y. and Pearl McEntire, Bobbie moved to Jasper at the age of 13 and remained in the same cherished home throughout her life.

Bobbie attended Reinhardt College, where she furthered her education and passion for learning. She had a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature, particularly wildflowers and March Flowers (daffodils), which brought her immense joy. Her kind heart and family-oriented spirit were well-known to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

As a devoted grandmother, Bobbie found great joy in the company of her grandchildren, always making sure to stay in touch with her extended family. Her giving nature, sensitivity, and meticulous planning were hallmarks of her character. Above all, Jesus was the most important part of her life, guiding her actions and providing her with unwavering faith.

Bobbie's legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to family will continue to inspire those who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Bobbie's parents, brothers, Bill Hawkins, Junior Hawkins, sister, Juanita Rooker awaited her arrival in Heaven.

Her loss will be deeply felt by her surviving family, son, Roger Welch, grandchildren, Michelle Welch, Hannah Bennett and her husband Allan, great-grandchildren, Braelyn Bennett, Braxton Bennett, brothers, Sammy Hawkins, Johnny Hawkins, sister-in-law, Gloria Hawkins, nieces, Wanda Dunn, Terry Neilson, Brenda Price and nephew, David Rooker. Several other nieces and nephews also survive to cherish Bobbie's memory.

The family will receive friends at Cagle Funeral Home on Friday December 20, 2024, from five in the evening until eight at night and Saturday December 21, 2024, from noon until the service hour.

Bobbie's funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of Cagle Funeral Home Saturday December 21, 2024, at two o'clock with Pastor Donald Teague officiating. Interment will follow the service at Jasper City Cemetery.
