Mrs. Betty Marie Phillips, age 80 of Jasper passed away Saturday February 10, 2018 at Kindred Hospital in Rome.
Betty graduated from Pickens County High School in 1956 and from Georgia Baptist School of Nursing in 1962. She worked as a Registered Nurse for the Fulton County Health Department for 29-years and then worked in Home Health until her retirement in 1998.
She is survived by her Stepson: James Stacy Phillips of Snellville. Stepdaughter and Husband: Shane and Russell Moore of Suwanee. Brother and Sister-in-Law: Glenn & Shirley Taylor of Jasper. Sisters and Brothers-in-Law: Brenda & Earl Brooks of Jasper and Gail & William Dilbeck of Jasper. Sister-in-Law and Husband: Johnnie & Louie Fowler of Lawrenceville. Grandchildren: Jackson Wayne Moore and Austin James Phillips. Uncles: Robert Taylor and Raymond Taylor of Jasper, Barney Taylor of Cherokee County, Virlyn Taylor of Florida, and Roy Goss of Marietta. Aunts: Eulene Honea of Silver City and Helen Silver of Taylorsville. Numerous Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. Extended family: Tony Lee and Melinda Hancock of Jasper.
Betty is preceded in death by her Husband: James (Jamie) Phillips. Parents: Carl Taylor, SR. and Marie Morris Taylor and Stepmother: Lois Taylor.
Visitation will be held Monday February 12, beginning at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Tuesday 10:00 AM until the funeral hour.
Funeral Services will be held 12:00 PM Tuesday February 13, 2018 in the Cagle Funeral Home Chapel.

Graveside service will be at the Duncan Creek Church Cemetery in Buford GA. at 3:30 PM Rev Dr. James (Dee) Dillin officiating.
