Mrs. Barbara Poole, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away Wednesday July 10, 2024, at the age of 82. She was born to the late Mr. James Olen Fountain and Mrs. Emily Estell Atkins Fountain on September 30, 1941, in Tate, Georgia.

Barbara married the love of her life on February 17, 1962, and they began to build their life and family together. She was an exemplary mother and human being. Her unconditional love and strength of spirit could be seen in her care for her husband, children and grandchildren. Her departure comes as a great wound and is gravely felt by her entire family and countless others who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ralph Hugh Poole Jr., son, Casey(Joanna)Poole, daughters, Lisa(Jerry)Watkins, Carla Poole, grandchildren; Justin(Alesha)Watkins, Jenna(Seth)Boyd, Kaitlyn Poole, Carson Veal, great grandchildren; Gracie Watkins, Elijah Eubanks, Sophia Watkins, Sylas Boyd, Amelia Cash and brother, Tommy(Darline)Fountain.

The family will receive friends at Cagle Funeral home on Friday July 12, 2024, from 10 o'clock in the morning until eight at night and Saturday July 13, 2024, from nine in the morning until the service hour.

Barbara's funeral service will be held in the chapel of Cagle Funeral Home Saturday July 13, 2024, at 11 o'clock in the morning with Rev. Jerry Watkins and Rev. Buck Parker officiating. The interment will follow directly after the service at Free Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be; Justin Watkins, Elijah Eubanks, Jimmy Cagle, Matt Cagle, Rickey Rittenberry and Brody Buckner.
