Mrs. Barbara Jean Childers, age 79 of Jasper, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021 at her residence.

Mrs. Childers is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond Childers of Hinton, and Lamar & Kerri Childers of Hill City; daughters and sons-in-law, Lisha & Bo Hightower of Ludville, Ruby & David Helton of Gurley, AL, and Michelle & Bobby Wishon of Ellijay; daughter-in-law: Vivian Childers of Ludville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy & Sue Boling of Hinton, and Ricky & Trina Boling of Hinton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Faye & James Davis of Ellijay, and Susie & Charlie Mallory of Fairmount; twelve grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Childers; sons, Gerald Childers and David Childers.

Visitation is Sunday, November 28, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, and Monday, November 29, from 8:00 AM until the funeral hour.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Monday, November 29, 2021 at Jerusalem Baptist Church, with Rev. Stanley Mulkey and Rev. Pat Shelton officiating.

Interment will be at the church cemetery following the funeral service.
