Mrs. Audrea Fountain of Jasper, Georgia, passed away at Emory University on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at the age of 53. Audrea was born on October 21, 1970 to the late Mr. Gene Tunney McPherson and Ms. Mary Frances Hales McPherson in Jasper, Georgia.

Audrea was a devoted wife to Donnie for 35 years and the most loving mother, Granny, sister and friend anyone could ask for. She had more love in her pinky finger than most people have in their whole body, never hesitating to help anyone and everyone she could. Audrea was kind, funny and always true to her core. You could count on her to be there, regardless of the situation, always saying just the right thing to make things better. She loved to sing, go fishing, drawing and crafting, playing cards, going to Cherokee, searching for arrowheads, deer hunting and any and all of the yellow flowers. While all of those things brought Audrea joy, they didn't compare to the happiness that Donnie and their family gave her.

Audrea is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Tommy McPherson, sister, Linda McPherson. She is survived by her husband, Donnie Fountain, daughters; Amanda McPherson and Brad Jenks, Samantha and J.J. Cantrell, son, Cody and Misty Fountain, brothers; John and David McPherson, sisters; Debbie and Tex Byess, Shirley Totherow, Jean McPherson and Wanda Lemieux.  12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and countless others who Audrea has loved and nurtured also survive to miss and remember her.

The family will receive friends at Cagle Funeral Home on Friday June 7, 2024 from twelve o'clock noon until nine, Saturday June 8, 2024 from nine o'clock in the morning until nine and Sunday June 9, 2024 from nine o'clock in the morning until the funeral hour.

A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Cagle Funeral Home Sunday June 9, 2024 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon with Rev. Johnny Grizzle officiating. Internment will follow the service at Jerusalem Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be; Samantha Cantrell, Tammy Jo Southernland, Carley McPherson, Jennifer Smith, Samantha Chastain and Rose Gogus. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be, Amanda McPherson, Cody Fountain, Josh Hancock, J.J. Cantrell and Matt Young.
