Mrs. Mary Alice House, affectionately known as Alice, age 78, of Fairmount, passed away peacefully at home on December 14, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 6, 1946, in Calhoun, Georgia, Alice was a cherished daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Alice's love for her family was unparalleled. She found immense joy in spending time with her loved ones, always putting their needs and happiness first. Her passion for genealogy kept her connected to her roots, and she took great pride in uncovering her ancestry.

Cooking was another of Alice's great loves, and she was renowned for making the best biscuits and gravy around. Her kitchen was a place of warmth, love, and the delicious comfort of home-cooked meals that will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of sitting at her table.

Alice leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and family values that will continue to inspire those who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her spirit will live on in their hearts forever.

Alice is now reunited in Heaven with her parents, beloved husband, Harold House, sons, James Richard House, Timothy House, and sister, Sally Ellis.

Her loss will be deeply felt by her surviving family, son, Anthony House, grandchildren, Julie (Sepehr) Rezvani, Payton House, great-grandchildren, Zackery Couch, Gracie Rezvani, brothers, Lonzo Ellis, Roy Ellis, sister, Dymple Buttrum and beloved family member, Priscilla Couch.

The family will receive friends at Cagle Funeral Home on Monday December 16, 2024, from noon until nine at night and Tuesday December 17, 2024, from 10 in the morning until the service hour.

Alice's funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of Cagle Funeral Home on Tuesday December 17, 2024, at two in the afternoon with Rev. Ricky Jarrett officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be, Bo Ellis, Roger Mulkey, Bryan Bradshaw, Danny House, Danny Childers, Payton House, Sepehr Rezvani, and Matt Kinser.. Interment will follow the service at Ryo Baptist Church Cemetery.
