Mr. Elmer (Elmo) Young, age 49 of Ranger, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2010 in the Ludville Community as the result of a motorcycle accident. Visitation was held at Cagle Funeral Home on Sunday, July 25th from 7PM to 10PM, Monday, July 26th from 8AM to 10PM and Tuesday, July 27th from 8AM until just prior to the Funeral Hour. Funeral Services were held at 2PM on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Friendship Baptist Church with Reverend Herman Mulkey officiating. Interment followed in the Church Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers were: Davy Chastain, Nakeia McPherson, Dustin Young, Timothy Young, Tony Turner and Jeff Crook. Honorary Pallbearers were Michael Young and Jerry Wyman.
Survivors include his Wife: Diane Young of Ranger; Mother and Step-Father: Louise and Gary Holbrook of Ranger; Mother-In-Law: Ada Mae Buttrum of Ranger; Son: Jason Young and Sara Hamrick of Ranger; Daughter and Son-In-Law: Jessica and Jeff Young of Ranger; Brothers: Delmer Young of Ranger and Ralph Young of Ball Ground; Sisters: Barbara Turner of Hinton Community, Hazel Buchanan of Ball Ground, Patricia Padgett of Hill City and Imogene Timms of Ranger; Grandchildren: Tyler Young, Katelin Young and Marilyn Young.
The Family did accept flowers, but preferred donations to Cagle Funeral Home to help with Funeral Expenses.
Cagle Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
