Mr. James C. “Jim” Ingram, age 78 of Nelson, passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at his residence. Visitation was held at Cagle Funeral Home on Thursday, July 22nd from 6:30PM to 10PM, Friday, July 23rd from 8AM to 10PM and Saturday, July 24th from 8AM until just prior to the Funeral Hour with the body Lying in State from 1:30PM to 2PM. Funeral Services were held at 2PM on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Nelson Baptist Church with Reverends Steve Chadwick, Leroy Kelly and John Holloway officiating. Interment followed at Cherokee Memorial Park with Marble Hill Masonic Lodge #207 in charge of Masonic Graveside Rites. Serving as Pallbearers were: Gary Cochran, Lamar Kellett, Tomm Teague, Evan Howell, Johnny Garrison, James Densmore, Larry Cowart and Tommy Wigington.
Survivors include his Wife: Patricia Ingram of Nelson; Son: David Ingram of Nelson; Daughters and Sons-In-Law: Carol and Jerry Biddy of Jasper and Martha and John Tipton of Nelson; 3 Grandchildren: Justin Biddy, Caleb Tipton and Landon Tipton; Several Nieces and Nephews.
Mr. Ingram was a member of the Nelson City Council, a member of the Nelson Baptist Church, a member of the Masonic Order and a retired employee of Lockheed Aircraft where he was the Tooling Inspector.
The Family did accept flowers or Memorials may be made to Nelson Baptist Church.
Cagle Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
